Silverado Swiss Chard has heavily savoyed, dark green leaves on broad white stems that are quite flavorful. This improved variety is more compact and longer standing (slower to bolt) than standard chard varieties.

Silverado's outer stems can be harvested one at a time when plants are about 8 inches tall for extended harvest. New leaves will grow out from the center. Can be planted as a fall crop in most parts of the USA.
