Sectioned Coir Fiber Seed Trays (4x8 Cells)

Grow healthier plants faster with Fiber Grow seed trays - the new environmentally friendly alternative to peat based pots (e.g. Jiffy-Strips). Made from the husk of coconuts (coir). Great for starting all flowers and vegetables. (Growing media not included).

The Fiber Grow Seed Tray is designed for starting seeds and/or cuttings. Once the plant has matured enough (weather permitting) they can be planted directly into the ground. Once in the ground, the roots will go through the Fiber Grow pots minimizing transplanting shock.

Fiber Grow products are made from coir which comes from the husks of coconuts. This highly renewable resource renews itself around 4x (coconuts) a year while peatlands renew at 1/25 inch a year.

Coir also offers a pH neutral growing medium of around 5.5-6.8, while peat is more acidic giving a pH of 3.6-4.5. Another beneficial use of Fiber Grow products made from coir is its ability to retain water. Less watering is required for plants grown in our coir based products as they can survive drought conditions longer than peat.

Tip: When transplanting make sure pot lip doesn't stay above the soil line since this can wick water away from the roots. It is easy to tear or cut the top lip if necessary.
