Overview
Coconut Husk Chips are a great orchid bark alternative. Coconut Husk Chips are longer lasting than orchid bark and have a favorable pH of 5.3 to 6.5.
Coconut Husk Chips are ideal medium for Orchids, Bromelliads Anthuriums and for use in hydroponics. The chips wet and rewet easily and provide superior root growth because of their high water holding capacity. Coconut Husk Chips release water even as the chips dry out. Many growers think they are better than using orchid bark.
