Safer's Bio-Neem is completely safe to be used around children and pets. The organic active ingredient lasts up to 7 days. Spares beneficial insects. Contains .09% Neem Oil, a derivative of the seeds from the Neem trees of India and Africa.
The effectiveness of Bio-NEEM is based on several modes of action. It disrupts insects' hormonal balance so they die before they molt to the next life stage. Bio-NEEM suppresses some insect's desire to feed and also repels in areas that have been sprayed. The Oil also helps smothers soft bodied insects. These different modes of action result in broad-spectrum control of the majority of insects that harm your yard and garden. Bio-NEEM spares many beneficial insects such as honeybees (do not spray when plants are in flower) and ladybugs that prey on undesirable insects. Without beneficial insects to control pest populations, plants are even more vulnerable to new infestations.
