Apple Maggot Flies are attracted by the scent of the lures and hone in visually on the red sticky spheres where they are captured.

The SpringStar Apple Maggot Trap and Lure system has proven effective in reducing apple maggot damage. The trap is reusable and includes a single season, controlled-release lure. For best control set out traps 1 or 2 weeks before bud break in early spring. They can be taken down after harvest time.
